Why it holds up

Set up a full semester of classes in ten minutes
This Week view means you never scroll a full semester to find what's due
Each class page shows every assignment tied to it automatically

One due-date view beats five syllabi

The core problem this template solves is consolidation: due dates arrive from different professors, different formats, different reminder systems. Once you enter an assignment here with its class and due date, the This Week view surfaces it automatically — no manual weekly re-checking of five syllabi.

Simple by design

This template intentionally skips grade weighting formulas, reading trackers, and exam countdown timers — those live in the paid Semester Study System for students who want a heavier system. If you just need to stop missing deadlines, this free version does that one job and nothing else.

Questions people ask before buying

Do I need to re-create this every semester?

You can archive the current semester's classes (move them to an Archive view rather than deleting) and add new ones for the next semester, keeping the same structure. Many students duplicate a fresh copy each semester instead, which also works fine.

Can I track exam dates too, not just assignments?

Add exams as assignment entries with a type field set to Exam, or add a simple Exam Countdown block yourself. For a more built-out exam and grade-weighting system, see the Semester Study System.

Is there a mobile-friendly view?

Yes — the This Week view is a simple sorted list that works well on the Notion mobile app for checking what's due next between classes.
